Papa Midnight is inspired by the traditional cocktails of New Orleans. We created a clean amber ale and enriched it with Ceylon Cinnamon, 100% Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla and a heavy dose of premium Bourbon Whiskey.

Bottle from Jumbo City, Den Haag. Poured a hazy medium to dark amber with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is malt, big cinnamon, boozy alcohol. The flavour is moderate bitter and sweet, with a crisp, herbal, cinnamon, dry oaky, warm alcohol, sweet vanilla palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Bottled 330ml. -from Bierkoning Amsterdam. Clear amber coloured, medium sized tan head, caramel and cinnamon in the nose. Noticable cinnamon, light caramel, notes of vanilla and alcohol with rather sweet finish. Light cinnamon in the aftertaste.

Bottle shared with Iggywh. Somewhat amber color, small to average sized off-white head. Smell and taste malts, vanilla indeed, cinnamon in the background, don't get bourbon. Maybe there's a hint of it in the aftertaste but not very clearly. Carbonation is a bit fizzy and alcoholic though so there might be some bourbon notes in the alcohol coming through but not really in the flavor. Body is decent. Overall, hmm, not really a successful experiment imo. Just continue to brew good beers, don't start to do weird things. Base beer is not good enough to carry the additives, and balance is lost, just one big mess.

Hazy amber with an off-white head. Cinnamon and bourbon aroma. Sweet taste with some dates, caramel and toffee. Finish is dry and quite abrupt. Very unusual but tasty beer.
