750ml bottle pours a very ark brown with some sticky, beige head. Nose has chocolate, nuts, marzipan, bread. Flavor has booze, malt, dates, brown sugar, dried cherry, cola. Full bodied, but fairly dry.

Bottle at the October DC Ratebeer tasting. Bottle #109/600. Dark brownish black with light tan head. Aromas of caramel, cocoa. Tastes of caramel, dark chocolate. Medium body with a dry finish.

Bottle at the October DC Ratebeer tasting. Poured a dark, nearly pitch black color with a small tan head. Aroma was roasted notes, chocolate, with some coffee, bitter roast. Flavor was really smooth, tasty.

On draft at the brewery tap room in Jackson. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma of coffee and pit fruits. Moderately bitter roast and sweet flavors. Smooth finish.

Tap. Pours opaque black, small tan head, decent lacing. Aroma is roasty, burnt malt, dark chocolate, hint of Berry. Flavor is light plus sweet, Medium Bitter. Medium body.
