Brewed to honor the brave souls who kept our brewpub open in the early 90’s while wrecking balls tore down the mall around us. Dry and smooth, with a grassy, citrus aroma and honey malt middle.

22 ounce bottle into tulip, bottled 5/7/2010. Pours hazy golden straw color with a small 1-2 finger dense white head with good retention that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Some nice spotty lacing on the glass, witha fair amount of carbonation streaming up. Aromas of big lemon, biscuit, apricot, apple, pear, grape, coriander, grass, floral, grain, light yeast spices, and a bit of alcohol. Some pretty nice and balanced aromas. Taste of lemon, pear, apple, grape, biscuit, pepper, grass, honey, grain, and yeast spices. Lingering notes of lemon, pear, biscuit, honey, and yeast spices on the finish for a bit. Flavors are more on the sweet side than the spicy side; but is not cloying at all. Medium carbonation and body; with a creamy and slightly slick mouthfeel. Very smooth to drink, but is good for sipping on. Alcohol is well hidden with only a slight warming after the finish. Overall this is a very nice and enjoyable Belgian pale. Nice flavor balance and complexity.

650ml bottle (bottled 04/01/11). Slightly hazy yellow with unimposing white head. Saison-like floral, herbal and yeasty notes. Relatively light body. Taste is fresh, fruity and a bit spicy from the yeast, but in every fraction not particularly pronounced. Average.

Bottle @ home. Pours a fairly hazy golden yellow-orange appearance with a medium sized white head. Delicious sweet Belgian blonde ale aroma with some yeast. Yeasty light Belgian blonde ale flavor with some citrus notes. A little bit bitter but overall a delicious Belgian blonde flavor. Bottle at Fin & Loz’s tasting with Jan, Charlotte, Craig, Stella & kids consumed Saturday 22.10.11 Jan brought this beer along, cheers Jan. Hazy gold with a medium sized white head. There are some warm vegetable peelings on the nose, i.e. sweet not unpleasant vegetable aroma. Warmth a little spice, it’s good, soft in mouth, bit of ginger. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6
