Reviewed from notes.
The appearance was a dark amber close to brown color with a cap of a little white foamy head that dissipated at a moderate pace. Light stringy lace.
The aroma had a good dose of caramel/toffee malts covering some nuts, semi-roasty with some bitterness from some earthy/grassy hops. Light spice.
The flavor leaned into the sweetness and then a gentle roast came in for a good balance. Nice lingering roasty to malty smooth aftertaste rolling into the finish in the same way.
The feel leads with a medium body and had a soft carbonation. Malts smooth things out nicely without any cloying effects.
Overall, nicely done brown ale well worthy of having again.
