An eye-opening amber ale with mint and ginger. It starts with mint, which is complemented by the oriental freshness of ginger and the soft bitterness of Goldings hops. On the tongue lightly caramelized malts join in with juicy notes of sugarcane that help to smooth out the spiciness of ginger. In the end ginger is not the only one that warms.

Draft @ Borefts 2016. Ambrée, col blanc. Arôme au nez fin, rétro épicé marqué de menthe poivrée qui donne une belle dimension aux effluves qui sont aussi ponctuées par un léger gingembre. Palais est frais, très léger, l’ajout de menthe poivrée confère un caractère naturel renforcé par un côté herbacé, le gingembre donne un petit mordant au niveau épicé mais qui ne dure pas trop. J’apprécie bien ce profil herbes variées que je retrouve dans d’autres de leurs bières. Malté léger un peu pâle ambre.

Sampled @ Borefts Beer Festival 2016. Leicht trübes dunkel orange goldenes Bier. Geruch nach Gewürzen, rote Beeren. Geschmack nach roten Beeren, Gewürze, brause, Salbei.

On tap at Borefts 2016. Its a perfumed ginger beer with lemon shandy character. Decent ginger bit weak elsewhere.

Tap at Borefts. Slight hazy light amber with white head. Lots of ginger, followed by quite some peppermint, light fruity with peach and apricot, sweet malts, some caramel. Medium sweet and light bitter. Medium bodied. Great!

Sampled from tap at Borefts 2016 day 2. Hazy amber with white head. Barley, sweet malts, mint and ginger. Medium sweet, minty fresh, light bitter. Medium body, soft carbonation, chalky feel. Clear orange beer, creamy off-white head, non adhesive, little stable. MF: soft carbon, medium to light body. Taste: lots and lots of lavender, floral, soapy bitterness, some citrus peel. Aftertaste: very soapy, floral, unpleasant bitterness.

Tap. Aroma is ginger, minty, very aromatic. Taste is spicy, earthy, more ginger, but then the peppermint takes over. Low carbonation, oily mouthfeel. Very nice!
