Cask @ Craft Beer Co., London. Clear dark orange / light amber color. Smell ginger or rosemary, I think the latter; don’t like it anyway. Taste is a little better, but still too much herbs or spices. Low carbonation, low body.

Cask @ Cask Pub and Kitchen, London. Pours clear golden with a small white head. Ginger mainly. Some bready malts and fruit. But very one dimensional with ginger upfront. Not my thing.

From the cask at Cask Pub and Kitchen. Deep golden, with a fine, thin, head. Citrus, cream, honey and ginger aroma. Nice and inviting, spicy. Quite spicy ginger flavor, hoppy and with warm, creamy malts. Very nice. Pepper ginger is crisp and spicy, a bit much, but good.

Cask, half pint served at the right ambient temperature at Cask Pub and Kitchen, Pimlico. Pours a near-clear golden body under a tiny, lacing head. Subdued smell of ginger and fruits. Peaches and dry lemon to the taste buds added by mild chili-like spices leading to a prolonged spiced bitter end. Slightly oily palate. A summer treat, indeed (London, 29.07.2011).
