Hophead is a pale, aromatic and hoppy session bitter. Brewster’s have brewed Hophead for over twenty years. In this time this pale, full on hop, low gravity style of beer has become a modern classic.
As a permanent beer it will work well alongside an “English” style beer to cover the fundamentally important session (3.5%-4.0%) beer drinkers category on the bar. When stocked like this many Publicans have noted increasing sales and repeat trade built around this beer.
Hophead is pale gold with a fresh zesty hop character. Highlights of orange, lemon and blackcurrant hop notes from a blend of English and American hops.

22/1/2022. Cask at the Wonky Donky, Fletton, Peterborough. Pours clear pale gold with a small frothy white head. Aroma of citrus, flowers, sweet malt, touch of grape. Moderate sweetness, light bitterness. Moderate body, oily watery texture, soft carbonation. Slightly dry and zesty finish. Not bad.

Cask at Paisley Beer Festival. Golden colour with a thin head that quickly dissipated. Hoppy without being overpowered. Bit thin and watery but very drinkable

Half-pint at the 2014 Lincoln Beer Festival. Light amber with a white covering of bubbles. The strong floral hop nose carried on into the flavour of this semi-bitter brew. Easy to drink, doesn’t test your taste buds too greatly, but a pleasant blend of hoppiness that sits together nicely and leaves a mini-dry finish in the mouth.
