Optisch schön dunkel, stabiler Schaum. In der Nase Holz, fast Whisky. Im Trunk unfassbar cremig, Honig, Schokolade, Karamell ganz deutlich. Himmel, ist das lecker. Und dann auch noch aus Chile - chapeau!

Bottle. Bronze color, good foam. Aroma: vanilla, oak, barrels, toffee, caramel, fortified wine, a little bourbon. Taste: oak, vanilla, bourbon, toffee, very warming, oily, medium hop bitterness, good balanced.

Bottle from biershop.com. Pours a cloudy chestnut brown, with small white head. Aroma of prune, coffee, and wheat. Quite sweet, light bitterness. Medium/full body, rich texture. Rather delicious.

Pours brown with a small head.Nose shows heavy American oak with big vanilla and creme brulee notes alongside some equally sweet-smelling golden syrup and brown sugar characters.Similarly sweet flavours. Creme brulee, burnt caramel, woody oak, brown sugar, toasted coconut. Perhaps a bit too sweet.Could use more carbonation to help with the sweetness.

(Bottle, 0.75 l - BBE Jun 2015, from Alko Arkadia, 20140919) The beer poured brown and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had chocolate, vanilla, fruitiness and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, chocolate, vanilla, fruitiness, spiciness and bitterness. Aftertaste was spicy, malty and bitter. A nice brew but the barrell components were unnecessary addition.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein leicht trübes dunkelbraunes Bier mit ordentlicher Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr malzig fruchtig, blumig, würzig. Geschmack stark malzig, fruchtig, Gewürze, blumig.

Small cream-white head over copper-chestnut beer, clear. Sourish-chocolate, lactic acid, bit oakey, pickles. Sweet, chocolate, wood, cocoa, but a tad sweet. Wood returning in force at every sip, even with fresh vanilla-oak. Very slick, well-bodied, even syrupy, alleviated by both CO² and other acid. Txs, Tim! Gets an extra point for hailing from Chile, for chrissakes! Too sweet Oud Bruin, with a bit of Doppelbock thrown into.

11/I/14 - 75cl bottle @ JorisPPattyn's place - BB: X/2014, bottled: 31/X/13 (2014-33) Thanks to Juan Antonio for the bottle!
Note: maybe I should've let it age a bit longer, would probably even have been better! Clear cola coloured beer, creamy irregular light beige head, unstable, bit adhesive. Aroma: bit sweet, yeasty, some banana, caramel, toast, bit nutty, hay, some cow fodder, little sourish. MF: soft carbon, meidum body. Taste: bit sweet start, caramel, pretty sugary, lots of dried fruits, bit yeasty, soft bitterness, sweet mocha. Aftertaste: little hoppy, mocha, some caramel, bit yeasty, soft bitterness, hoppy touch.
