G.B.Best is based on the Golding Hop. It is lighter than other Grainstore beers, possessing a pronounced floral flavour and aroma with a residual sweetness retained from a lower fermentation temperature.
Introduced into our range in late 2012, the name is a play on words. GB (Great Britain) alludes to the Union Jack flag in the background, but is also the initial letters in the name Grainstore Brewery.

Cask at the Crosse Key, JDW. Clear gold pour with an oily cream head. Musty malts and faint, earthy hops. Rather messy flavor but not bad. Has some nice, doughy bread, citrus, and earthy, leafy hops. Light to medium in body with average carbonation. Finishes bready with herbal hops in the throat. Alright.

Cask at Crosse Keys Spoons. Gold, lasting beige head. Quite a tasty golden bitter, some herb or spice on this I thought. Slight yeast on aroma, with some sweet citrus hop. Then something like cardomon seeds, something Indian and spicey. Odd. 2.6/5. Re rate at Muggletons JDW Maidstone. A lot better. Clearly my glass wasnt washed properly on last rating. An ok golden ale/bitter.
