A fruity flavoursome red ale with caramel tones. This is a smooth, fruity ale with a definite caramel character created by the use of crystal malt in the brewing process but with an added hop balance that is not always present in red ales, and which offsets the sweetness of the caramel flavours.
Hops: Northern Brewer, Challenger. Malts: Caramunich.

Bottle 50cl. @home poured into a pint glass. Clear medium amber colour, tall mousy off-white head, good retention, fair lacing. Aroma sweet malt, caramel, citrusy hops, bit cheesy. Taste medium sweet and slightly bitter, malty, caramel, some lemon, again that strange cheesy element... Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, sweetbitter aftertaste, acceptable.
