Bottle at the pop-up cafe. Chewy, good banana, vanilla, clove balance, quite nice.
Old rating 6 5 6 4 5.5 Bottle. Grainy spicy aroma. Yellow, off-white head. Nutty almondy notes, a bit peach. Nutty spicy retronasal. Medium to light body. Not too exiting.

Bottle (rerate). Sweet banana, bubble gum and wheat malt aroma. Cloudy yellow-tan color with large white head. Very sweet orange/banana and light wheat malt flavor Decent body. Naturally better fresh but could use more malt flavor. Bottle bought in the US was okay but much less fruitier and past its prime - always a risk buying a German Hefeweizen outside of Germany,

500ml Bottle (Waitrose). This was a typical hefeweizen. An attractive cloudy orange colour with a brilliant white head. Aroma of bananas and yeast. Usual clove and banana flavours with a dry citrussy finish. Ok, but nothing special.

Bottle picked up in Waitrose, Witney, July 10th 2006. Golden orangey in colour, wheaty and malty and sweet on the nose with maybe some tropical fruit, a very clean and refreshing beer that tastes great some spiciness fruits including slight cirtrusy bite, very good beer.

Bottle from Waitrose. Dirty old gold colour, lasting thick white head. Spicey cereal; oats, some banana aroma. Smooth in mouth, full and more cereal. Nice refreshing finish with more banana. Quite nice.

(bottle) Hazy orange colour with a big foamy white head. Sweet malty grainy nose with strong fruity (banana, citrus) notes, cloves and a sourish touch. Sweet wheaty and fruity taste with a balanced clovy and light bitter, also slightly tart finish. A creamy and quaffable Weizen.

Very bitter tasting wheat beer with a slightly chemical flavour. The appearance saves the beers rating.
