Brewed to celebrate 100 years of the oldest hiking trail in North America, the Long Trail. This ale features a slightly sweet malt flavor delicately balanced by the use of centennial hops. This bigger beer goes down smooth, please indulge with moderation.
Our Imperial Red Ale has the traditional characteristics of a red ale with the addition of an ample amount of hops and a higher grain bill that yields more sugars during the brewing process; resulting in a higher ABV.

Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of nimbleprop. Pours a clear amber with a rough off-white head. Sweet and fresh citrusy hop aroma. Solid body, sweet caramel and almost perfumy, citrusy hops leaving a solid hop bite. Very American in style. 180911

Bottle shared with Jcwattsrugger. Pours clear reddish brown. Tan head. Nose and taste of sweet malts, grain, caramel and light grain. Medium body. A steal at the price being asked for a 22oz.

Deep red with a nice head. Aroma had some herbal, earth, light fruit, sweet malts, and a bit of pepper. Medium, carbonated body. Flavor has toasted malt, sweet, fruity, earthy hops. It was OK, but kind of a letdown.

Bomber from Wine Warehouse in Charlottesville, VA. Pours a clear brownish red color with a medium sized creamy tan head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of caramel and toffee malts, and leafy, floral hops. The taste is earthy, citrus hops, berry notes, toffeeish malts. Medium bodied. Nice beer.

Roasted malt, fig, and tea aroma, with light clove notes. Clear brown, thin yellow head. Malty and spicy initially, pretty dry, but quickly transforms to a tangier cherry. Finishes bready. Tasty, unspectacular, but dynamic.
