Bottle. Pours a cloudy orange with medium frothy white head. The aroma is floral hop and yeast. Thin mouthfeel with a light fruit malt and caramel with sweet finish. A decent barley wine from Fort Collins.

Hazy dark amber color, with red hue; it has a medium sized head. Nice aroma, nutty malts, sweet fudge, sweet caramel. Good body strength; quite sweet mouthfeel but not too much; malt flavor, a bit nutty and buttery, with a strong bitterness, some hop oils too; better (more straight) than many other wheat wines. Good.

Good body strength; quite sweet mouthfeel but not too much; malt flavor, a bit nutty and buttery, with a strong bitterness, some hop oils too; better (more straight) than many other wheat wines. Tap @ Falling Rock, Denver. Pours golden with a offwhite head. Aroma of sweet bready malt, caramel, honey, Wheat. TAste is malts, heavy sweet caramel, honey, woodnotes. Medium body, soft carbonation. 030312

on tap-pours hazy amber with a light tan head. Aroma is sweet medium fruit. Taste is medium fruit, medium malt, herbal hops.

On tap at the brewery. Pours with a hazed golden-orange hued body with a off-white head. Aromas are of wheat, lightly spicy, estery, caramel, alcohol, grainy. A bit of a mint like note. Flavors are of honey, grainy, medium bitterness and some caramel. Some alcohol flavors. Medium bubbles with a fully weighted body.

Bottle 22fl.oz. @ [ Tasting by fiulijn ].[ Trade by GAManiac ]. Clear medium red orange colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, bw aroma, ripped fruit, alcohol. Flavour is heavy sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a long duration, fruity, alcohol, fresh wood notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110917]

Bomber from Half Time. Pours clear ruddy copper with a creamy/foamy beige head. Aroma is rich malt with cooked peach/apricot. Med+ body. Flavor is brown sugar with some cooked light stone fruits. The main impact is caramel, but the fruit is ever present. Tell me it’s a barley wine, and ... Oh. It is a barley wine. :)

Nice ruby-tinted copper and rust coloured body with a frothy tan head that leaves a speckled lace. Aroma of wheat, alcohol, soap, cleanser, perfume and a touch of pine. Medium-bodied; Strong barley and alcohol flavours with caramel and toffee really strong behind. Aftertaste is quite potent with a lot of sweetness, a little fruits (apples and pears) and even more alcohol noticeable. Overall, an okay beer - but not really on the level of traditional Barley Wines, showing in every characteristic, but not necessarily a horrible beer. I sampled this 65 cL (too big) bottle purchased from Liquor Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 11-July-2010 sampled at home on the Eastern Shore of Virginia on 02-April-2011.

Appearance: The pours is a clear amber color with a small bubbly white head and some lacing
Flavor: Medium sweet with a good amount of spice and bread along with light-medium bitterness
Palate: The body is medium-full with a somewhat syrupy mouthfeel and some heat on the finish
Overall Impression: This stuff was not too shabby. Nothing overly wonderful either, but enjoyable and drinkable. Perhaps a bit too much on the sugary and boozy side for the style, but I'd drink this one again.
