Sein sehr schön feinporiger, weißer Schaum und die leicht opale strohgelbe Farbe wecken die Erwartung auf einen erfrischenden Schluck Heimat.
Der Erfolg eines guten Pils-Bieres liegt im Wasser und in der getroffenen Auswahl an Hopfen. Die Aromen des Hopfens sind vielfältig und können von Zitrusnoten über Gras und Blumen, bis zu Düften des Holunders und Cassies gehen.
Wenn wir das Glas an unsere Nase führen und daran riechen kommt uns ein Aroma von grünem Gras und frischem Stroh mit einem Hauch von Zitrusnoten entgegen.
Diese Aromen werden auch bei unserem ersten Schluck bestätigt. Im Antrunk ist unser Pils sehr spritzig und prickelnd auf der Zunge. Im Mund spüren wir langsam eine leichte Bittere, die beim Schlucken langsam und sehr angenehm zunimmt. Im Abgang verstärkt sich diese Bittere bis hin zu einem trockenen Mundgefühl, das zum Weitertrinken anregt.
Unsere Empfehlung: Ein kleines Pils pur als Aperitif oder mit einem Spritzer Aperol. Perfekt zu Salaten, Geflügelgerichten und Pasta.

On tap in the Watzke bar near the Golden Rider: sat outside the afternoon sun on 10th May 2017. Cloudy golden body, good white crown on top. Decent hop content, bitter and interesting, the malts almost holding their own against the hoppy brew. Went down very well after plodding the streets of Dresden all morning.

On tap at the brewpub. Trübes hell goldgelbes Bier mit mittelgroßen weißen schaumkrone. Geruch mild hopfig, getreidig malzig. Geschmack mild grasig hopfig, angenehme Bitterkeit, gering fruchtig.

Draught @ Brewpub. Pours hazy pale yellow with a creamy head and lacings. Grassy hops with a whisper of citrus. Hay and biscuit. Smooth, dry and hoppy. Lovely!

On tap at the brewpub. Looks good in the glass, fine turbid. Starts mild but not washy. Wonderful flowery-hoppy. Modest dry background. Finish hoppy and mild bitter. Quite drinkable. Nice!

Draught @ Hausbräu im Ballhaus Watzke, Kötzschenbroder Str. 1, 01139 Dresden, Saxony, Germany.Light unclear medium yellow colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, hay, toasted, light to moderate hoppy, grass. Flavour is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration, green grass, citrus peel bitter, malty, yeast - sour malt notes, citrus acidic notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110919]

Aromatisch herber Antrunk, bereits deutlich bitter. Das bittere Aroma zieht sich dann aber unerwartet deutlich zurück und überlässt der Herbe so wie dem aufkommenden Hopfen das Feld. Trotzdem wirkt das Bier noch ruppig und nur in Teilen harmonisch. Recht bitteres und dadurch unsüffiges Pils.

Draught: Golden, hazy, lively carbonation, stable lacy white head; aromatic hoppy nose with a yeasty and pale-malty background; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied; hoppy tail in the yeasty bitter-sweet finish. Good quality.....

Draught at the brewpub. Mild yeasty aroma aroma. Cloudy golden colour. Sparkling. Big stable creamy white head. The flavour is malty with a distinct and clean bitterness. Too high carbonation for me. Very good aroma hoppiness, flowery and spicy.

draught at the brewery restaurant in Dresden. Golden colour, cloudy, creamy and persistent head. Lovely aroma of hops. Full-bodied, well-balanced Pils with pleasant hoppy flavours on a solid malty base.
