A Premium IPA, light golden in colour with a rich citrus fruity flavour and a floral hoppy aroma. Distinctive and Deceptively Quaffable!

Cask @ Stafford Beer & Cider Festival. Hazy golden with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty and yeasty. Flavor is quite sweet. Sweet finish. Feels more like a mediocre German Hefeweizen than an Imperial IPA. 280717

500ml bottle from the bargain bin of Beers of Europe. Pours clear gold, no head. Malty, burnt toffee aromas, herbal hops. Taste is sweet, more burnt toffee. Thin texture, astringent finish. Quite similar to Marstons stuff.

Bottle from B&M Bargains. Golden-orange with next to no head. Has a light texture and taste for its strength with small smoothness. Has a malt-hop balance although an average one.

Clear 500ml bottle poured at home into an Abbot Ale glass tankard on 30th June 2014. Golden, clear body with a good, full white crown of foam on top. Crisp, dry finish with a hop bitter feel throughout. The aroma is subdued, some mild hoppiness with a citrus bent as the beer warmed. Better than OK, in fact it was a lot better than I thought it would be.

Bottle on the 2nd Friday night is Bottled Beer Night 2014. From B&M in Canterbury. Clear gold lasting white head. Well I can smell the grassy citrusy hops whilst I pour it. Some bleach toilet cleaner aroma. Which kind of carries on to the flavour. Oh dear, well yes you can through a lot of hops at a beer but it doesn’t always work. Very bitter on the finish. Very big and hoppy aroma and flavour, but just way too much. Reminds me of the last home brew I did when I over dry hopped it. It’s just too harsh. Way too many hops thrown at this for the ABV and malt base. It just can’t carry it. Harsh cracked black pepper finish. Way too harsh.

Clear orange gold, with a bit of a dirty white head. Aroma hasn’t the hoppy characteristics of an IPA. Quite flat. On the whole not a great beer.

500ml bottle. Pours light gold with a medium head. Aroma, well, the glass is on the table and I can smell the skunk from there. Some vanilla and lemon. Taste is sweet with straw and grass. Touch of skunk on the finish. Knew I was shit out of luck to think Aldi had started selling impy Ipas.

Cask at Y Not Festival, Derbyshire. Initially quite a sour taste, fairly sweet with some distinct lemon dominating. Glad I bought a half as couldn’t manage a full pint of this.
