(Cask at Angleterre, 20151014) The beer poured golden and clear. Its head was small, white and it lasted long. Aroma had herbalness, earth and malts. Palate was medium bodied with low carbonation. Flavours were herbalness, earth, sweetness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy and bitter. A bit weird but still tasty hoppy pale ale.

Bottle from the Bottle Bank. Appearance - golden amber with a nice fluffy head. Nose - citrus and pale malt. Smells a bit like a shandy. Taste - plenty of lemon in fact going into lime. Pale malt again. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - it hasn’t scored well but I think this does exactly what the style demands.

Slightly hazy medium amber colour, small frothy off-white head that lasts for a while, fair lacing. Shy aroma of sweet malts, toasted, light fruity notes (lemon, grapefruit), bit bready. Taste is mild moderate sweet and light bitter; medium body, oily texture, mouthfeel on the verge of watery, average carbonation. Finish light bitter, hint of citrus, overall a modest ale, good to drink but could use a bit more body.

Gravity dispense at the Happy Man May ’14 BF, Englefield Green, 22/05/14. Very lightly hazed golden with a moderate off white swirl. Nose is citric peel, bitter orange, straw. Taste comprises mandarin, light tropicana, bread dough. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, light bitterness in the close. Ok GB think the brewer needs to get out more (of Truro) with that kind of hyperbole in the description !!

Cask at The Watford Beer Festival 2013. Poured a pale golden colour with a rocky, white head. Fairly light aroma of pineapple, grass and peach. Sweet flavours of toffee and dough mixed with some wet grass. Palate was mild resin, stale malt and tinned fruit.
