Excellent aroma, not as much in the taste which is more coffee than chocolate - but still pleasant.

Cask at the Willow Walk (JDW), Victoria. Deep chestnut with a tight beige head and a reddish glow; malty aroma with a touch of oats; dry, smooth and biscuity in the mouth - like drinking a Farley’s rusk that’s been soaked in Horlicks. There’s some light fruit, a hint of chocolate, and a really dry finish, with the faintest taste of white pepper. A well made mild.

Cask handpull at Willow Walk Spoons Victoria. Very dark brown colour with disappearing head. Not much choc on this. Some harshness. Some smoky bacon crisps. More like a smoked mild. Definite bacon

Cask at the Crosse Keys, JDW. Pours cloudy brown with a seriously dense, beige head. Aroma holds some malts, cocoa, fruits, vomit. Lightly sweet, bit of brown sugar, wood, mild roast, quite a bit of yeast. Light bodied with soft carbonation. Finishes faintly roasty and sweet, somewhat bready, bit of cocoa. Decent beer; the condition seems a bit iffy.
