Pours clear amber with copper edges and tan head. The aroma has roasted malts, earthy malts, crystal malts and some dark fruity esters. The taste has some sweet malts, roasted malts, a bit of chocolate malts and then earthy dark roasted coffee. It ends with the addition of some sweet caramel malts too. Good taste overall but a bit disjointed.

On tap at the Nook in Huntsville, AL. Pours clear brown with a light head. The aroma is nutty and bready, with notes of brown sugar and hop spiciness. There is a distinct coffee note up front. The flavor is a nice balance of malts and a stiff bitter backbone. The palate is light to medium, clean, and crisp, with no hint of the surprisingly high ABV. Excellent brown ale; easy drinking and tasty.
