Golden yellow. The use of Mount Hood as the aroma hop gives this beer a pungent hoppy fruitiness; think citrus fruit notably lime. There is also a hint of cereal malt on the nose which evokes the spirit of the mash from whence the beer came. On the palette the overwhelming sensation is citrus fruit (lime marmalade but also overripe grapes spring to mind) along with warming alcoholic esters before a bitter, hoppy and dry finish which is enlivened by lasting citrus (lime) and grainy malt making a late surge. A delicious blonde beer to be taken with care.

Just short of being syrupy, an unusual hazy blonde beer

Half-pint, cask at Brewhouse in Poole. Shared with Finn. Misty golden body, filmy layer, clingy lacing down the glass. Moderate smell of grass and peaches. Blended taste of oily hops and peaches. Balancing mid-dry bitter ending. Quite alright. (Poole 22.10.2019).

20th Oct 2017: cask half-pint at The Crown Inn, Oakengates Shropshire. Golden pour, white head that lasted. Another citrusy golden brew, better than most though, the 5% maybe helping me enjoy this more than similar beers. Lemon and Lime being the major citrus aromas and flavours I found.

Cask at the Pump House, Shirley, Solihull. Poured a crystal clear medium amber with a frothy white head and lots of clingy lace. The aroma is light dry yeast, malt, citrus hop. The flavour is moderate to light bitter with a light woody hop, pepper spice palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Cask at the South Western Arms, St Denys (So’ton) - 09/09/12. Clear golden with a white head that soon thins. Sweet malt and toffee on the nose. Caramel in the taste, medium bodied with a slightly smokey dry finish.

Fine looking, golden ale with little aroma, but its fine texture ensures a great taste.

Cask at the Prince Arthur (JDW), Fleet. Hazy pale amber with thin white head that leaves lots of lacing on the glass; tropical fruit aroma - perhaps peach; a smooth floury body with an intensely sweet, tropical fruit flavour; then a pleasanlty assertive bitterness to counteract the sweetness. Nice.
