Golden yellow. The use of Mount Hood as the aroma hop gives this beer a pungent hoppy fruitiness; think citrus fruit notably lime. There is also a hint of cereal malt on the nose which evokes the spirit of the mash from whence the beer came. On the palette the overwhelming sensation is citrus fruit (lime marmalade but also overripe grapes spring to mind) along with warming alcoholic esters before a bitter, hoppy and dry finish which is enlivened by lasting citrus (lime) and grainy malt making a late surge. A delicious blonde beer to be taken with care.

Cask at GBBF 2011, Day 2. Pours clear gold with a white, foam head. Hay and straw, light toast in the aroma. Has a very pleasant flavor with some cereal, dough, and hay bitters. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Clean, light sugar finish. Nice. Looks good, too.

Cask @ White Horse, Twerton. Amber-accented gold colour. The aroma is minerally, lightly caramelly and fairly earthy. The palate has a similar character, with a nice toastiness to the caramel malts.

Cask Conditioned at Market Porter, London, as Milk Street Somerset Beer
Hazy amber color, thin head. The aroma is too light, but it surely has a very good caramel flavor, medium sweet; well balanced, with a good mouthfeel; the sweetness is present till the end. Good.

Cask@Market Porter. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is vanilla, wood, some fruits and nectar. Also some mild grassyness. Flavour is very much the same, quite a bunch of sour fruits and grass in it, compared to the aroma.

Cask gravity at Planet Thanet 08. Gold with thin bubbly head. Bit of rubber on aroma. It’s alright, some hop, but too much rubber for me. Rest is ok, but unsurprising.
