Draught, 6.1%. Vinous hop aroma. Seemingly clear amber colour. Almost no head. Teaish hop flavour, nicely caramelly. Clean bitterness, not so high.

Capitol City Brewing Company, DC 16oz tap ($3.50hh): Pours a copperish color without too much in the way of head. Aroma of citrus and ambiguous flowers, with some obvious pale malt behind all that. Taste is pretty much up the same avenue. A little bit hoppy with the bitterness and the like. Still the mouth feel is nice and crisp and the body is pretty good. Basically this fulfills the criteria of the style to the T, but is not really outstanding in any shape of form.

Location: Draft Postal Building Location - From the sampler glass, and I ordered a pint as well, 3/7/09.

Aroma: Hoppy and a little fruit, citrus
Appearance: Golden, orange color, lacy head
Flavor: Hops dominate a nicely flavored American Ale.
Palate: Medium bodied, smooth finish
Overall Impression: Out of the standard beers at this place, this was my favorite, liked just a little more then the Porter (Rated them the same). Nice hoppy and enjoyable Pale Ale.
