Strong Scotch Ale aged in Falls Church Distillery Bourbon barrels. Full bodied, dark brew possesses a deep, rich malt character as a result of an extended kettle boil. Brew expresses hints of toffee, plums, and currants that are all intensified with an oak smokiness.

Draft the day after Mad Fox's 8th Anniversary party. Poured a nearly pitch black color, kind of very dark cola, with a very wispy dark tan head. Aroma was woody vanilla notes, bourbon. Some heat in the aroma, but it doesn't translate into the flavor thankfully. Pretty smooth, the barrel doesn't dominate this one too much, thankfully. Sweet caramel, light roasted burnt malt notes. Nice.
