Our American Amber Ale is famous for its balanced flavor and impeccable smoothness. Caramelized malts give this beer its sweet flavor and signature copper hue. Bravo hops attribute a slight bitterness to the finish.

355ml bottle from Oddbins Queensferry Street. Pours clear amber, thin off-white head that doesn’t hang around. Aromas of caramel, light honey and nuts. Taste is more of the same, light herbal bitter, but honey sweetness dominates. OK.

Keg at the Porterhouse Covent Garden - London. Pours clear gold with a creamy, white head. Some sweetish, bready malts in the nose - and little else. Medium sweet flavor with more bready malts, some dough, sugar, apple and honey. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Sweet, bready finish with sweet fruit tones, dough, vague toasty sugars. Not excellent.

Bottle. Pours hazy orange amber withsmall off-white head. Clear aroma of hops and malt, with notes of citrus and touches of metal. Bitter, hoppy flavour, with notes of nuts, metal, and roast. Touches of fruit. Lingering, rather rough aftertaste, with metallic hints. Drinkable but nothing really special. Still, better than expected.
