This remains our most popular session bitter. Pale in colour, now with five varieties of hops!

Challenger, East Kent Goldings, Pioneer, Mosaic and Styrian Goldings hops provide a full range of floral and citrus aromas, and a moreish bitterness that drinks superbly down the glass.

Gravity cask at the London Drinker BF. Clearish gold pour, light white head. Some pine and toast in the nose. At first, it tastes kind of like dogfood smells. Some piney bitterness and crispy malts, lightly sweet. Light in body with fine carbonation. Mild sticky hops to finish, bit of hy and grass. Alright.

(Cask at Bricklayer’s Arms, London) This beer was quite fruity and flavours contained also some sea water and finish was salty. Othewise this was a normal bitter. I somehow expected there to be clearer hop flavours but it may be that I just didn’t recognice those. Good brew.

Gravity cask at the Bree Louise, London NW1 UK on 9th June 2009.Pale gold/straw-coloured ale with small white head and almost clear body. The two salient aromatic notes were biscuit and moderate grapefruit, otherwise strongly hoppy in first kick, citric in aftertaste with a slightly chalky mouthfeel underpinned by a grassy hoppy finish which lingers between sips. Enjoyable pint. 6/4/7/3/16 Re-rating June 2023: Cask at the Alehouse, Reading on 30th June 2023. Amber with almost no foam or lace. Slightly soapy aroma. Spicy fruitiness in-mouth, slightly saline. Caramel malt dominates the finish. Light bodied with a smooth mouthfeel. 6/3/6/3/13

Golden color with some grapefruits and a lame attempt at bitterness in the finish, but had no body whatsoever.
