RBESG August 2011, Brew Wharf. Golden with a small white head. Lots of grapefruity hop aroma on top of grainy malt. Malt and citrus hop flavour with a good, firm biterness. Touch of homebrew character.

Cask @ brewpub. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a small white head. Has a fresh citrus hoppy aroma. Fruity malty hoppy bitter citrus flavor. Has a fruity citrus hoppy finish.

(Cask at Brew Wharf, Southwark, London, 23 July 2011) Hazy golden colour amber colour with foamy, off-white head. Hoppy, fruity nose with grapefruit, pine needles and loads of very fresh hops. Like putting your head in a sack of hops. Fruity, hoppy taste with generous amounts of fresh hops, grapefruit, pine needles and slightly grainy malt. Medium body, with balanced sweetness and a fresh, generous bitterness. Quite impressive hop character. Very nice beer, and oh so drinkable.

Cask @ Brew Wharf, London. During RBESG 11. Pours clear golden with a small white head and lacings. Citrus and grassy hops. Smooth, fruity and dry. A bit of yeast. Very clean.

Cask (handpump) @ Brew Wharf, Stoney Street, London, Greater London, England SE1 9AD.Clear medium to dark yellow orange colour with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, hay - grass, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, citrus, grass - hay. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110801]

From cask. Pours clear and golden orange with no lasting head. Aroma is slight citrusy and light herbal. Bitter, grassy and herbal hoppy. Bitter and light spiced into a dry finish. Bitter and herbal finish.

Cask@Brew Wharf (Wall said Sand Ivanhoeโ€™s Pale Ale, whereas pumpclip said San Ivanhoes Pale Ale). Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fuits, wood, some read and nice nectary sweetness. Flavour is fruity, floral, nectary as well as some honey and mild wooden notes. Pleasant.

Hazy straw in colour with a loose cream head; aroma of citrus and wheat; a softy wheaty body with lots of pine resin and some citrus and honey in support; leading to sharp resinous hoppy finish. Slightly rough on the palate.
