345ml bottle into schooner glass @ Beverly Hills Hotel Sydney. Hoppy/caramel nose. Copper beer with solid creamy white head. Medium carbonation. Oily mouthfeel. Taste is pine needles, caramel, bitter lemon. Long finish leads to final touch of grapefruit. Great well-balanced beer, probably the best from this brewery.

(bottle) Poured clear golden amber with no head. Aroma was citrusy hops with hints of caramel and grass. Medium body with good carbonation. Flavour had a nice initial sweetness that quickly gives way to a citrus tartness and then a hop bitterness builds for a long finish. Overall this beer lacks finesse and complexity but is still a nice drop.

From a 345ml bottle on 6/1/2010. Has a nice citrus, herbal aroma and an almost creamy feel to it. Great fruity, spicy flavour, with a nice sweet/sour balance. Overall, a commendable hoppy, refreshing pale ale.

[11/09] Bottle. Bronze, medium light beige head. Tight hop nose, with citrus zest, clean malts, hard herbs and maybe cloves. Taste has very fruity malts. Vaguely medicinal and long bitter aftertaste. Perhaps a little light on the malt and alcohol given the inviting aroma. Good. [3.7] [11/10] Bottle. Copper, nice off-white to beige head that fades a bit but laces well. Aroma has kumquats, pine, caramel, slight spices. Quite assertive initial bitterness, nectarine and caramel. Medium bitter finish has citrus with some herbal and pine notes.[5/14] Bottle. Had a rather dull one of these at the Port Melbourne brewery a while ago, so pleased to see this is still working well. Still a bit overpriced, but a lovely beer that’s been around for a long time.
