6th July 2019
Semi-opaque dark brown beer, small bubbly pale tan head. Palate is smooth and semi-dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Fluffy dark malts, a little light malt cream. Semi sweet dark chocolate. Modest spice. Some bouncy dark fruit underneath. Light finish. Light and fruity and deceptively easy to drink. Mild warmth after the swallow. Nice.

Bottle at home, 19/07/18. Pitch black with a decent light tan covering. Nose is bitter roast, toffee, light spice, cocoa powder, singed brown sugars. Taste comprises dark chocolate, booze tunes, bitter sweet notes, caramel, light charr, booze levels are evident. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a rising boost. Passable impy stout .... lacks both finesse and balance ... yes it's 12% but it's a touch heavy handed.
