Pours almost clear darker amber, topped with smaller just slightly offwhite head. Resin nose with hints of fruits and solid malty backbone . notes of caramel and bisuits. Moderate bitterness, a bit sharp and herbal at times. Malty sweetness in the back. Lasting aftertaste, quite sharp. A bit warming body. Medium bodied. Not my kind of IPA.

500 ml bottle, from Ales By Mail. ABV is 6%. Hops are Cascade, Magnum, Summit and Galena. Copper colour, moderate head, slightly off-white. Aroma of toffee and moderate herbal hops. The flavour is first malty with a moderate toffee and caramel sweetness, then followed by distinct herbal and grapefruity hops. Well balanced and nice to drink.

Bottle at home. A deep, dark IPA in the British style that was verging on the double in terms of flavour and abv. Minimal head, but a lovely opaque colour. The flavour was rich, stewed fruit and a welcome bitterness from the hops. It was perfect alongside a lamb curry as it really stood up well to the spices.
