Keg at Mother Kelly. It pours clear amber with a small white head. The nose is earthy, leather, juicy resin, wood and orange peel. The taste is bitter-sweet, orange peel, muffin, pine, resin, leather, touch of alcohol and brown bread with a lingering bitter finish. Medium body, fine carbonation and slightly sticky mouth-feel. Decent.

Golden with a small white head. Aroma of citrus, malt and quite a bit of marmalade. Sweet malty and fruity flavour, with quite a bit of Fullers character, but a little more bitter, perhaps.

Flaske 0,5l. Gave fra Fin, Loz & Isobel. Delt med Rune under rateseanse i H9 1 Okt 13. Brun. Høyt luftig skum som daler sakte. Pen lacing. God fruktaroma. Smaken er forsiktig. Litt plommer. Blir syrlig etter hvert. Et behagelig øl!

NOT an American style IPA. This is a traditional English style IPA with a bready, cereal-like malt backbone that dominates the flavor. Pours a golden amber, crystal clear, small white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma of cheerios, some floral hops, absolutely zero whiff of citrus per the label. Taste is the same, some graininess like rye spice in the finish. Not great balance here, the bready malts make this rather cloying, lack of hop presence is disappointing when a brewer labels something as American style. Not a drain pour, but not enjoyable.

Appearance: Clear dark golden color with a fine off white head. Good lacing.
Aroma: Mild hoppy and caramel malty.
Palate: Medium body. Moderate sweet and a fine bitterness. Average carbonation.
Taste: Citric hoppy, fruity and a strong caramel malty back.
Overall impression: A bit to dominant caramel malty. Otherwise fair enough. Missed some more hopps.
Personal stats: Bottle Geir had bought at Systembolaget in Sweden

500ml bottle, shared with Finn, many thanks to Fin & Loz and Isobel for this beer gift. Deep and clear amber coloured body. Persistent off-white head, good lacing. Restrained malt-fruity aroma. Likable taste profile of slightly dry, resinous bitterness mingled with brittle caramel followed by a dry, bittersweet ending. Well bodied. Tasty (at Finns in Tromsø, 01.10.2013).
