Cask@Southampton Arms, London. Amber colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is sweet caramel malts with some slight crystal notes as well as some floral and mildly nutty notes. Flavour is slightly nutty with quite big caramel and crystal maltyness. Also has some nice bitter floral and grassy notes to it.

500 ml bottle, kindly shared by gunnar. ABV is 5.1%. Amber to copper colour, moderate white head. Moderate aroma of fruity and dusty hops, a hint of caramel. Refreshing and pleasant flavour, hints of toffee, nuts and berries, nicely balanced between the malts and hops. Nothing exceptional, but drinks well.

Bottle from a Costcutter in Penzance. Pours dark copper with a transient off-white head. Aromas of roasted malt and sweetish fruit. Med body. Flavor is floral and sweet light fruit over mildly roasted caramel. Balanced, so not all that bitter, but more bitter than not.

Cask (Southampton Beer Festival 2010) - Hazy amber in colour. The taste has some hoppy notes with grapefruit and toffee detected. The taste is nicely balanced with grapefruit and spicy malt evident.

Cask-conditioned at the Star, Bath 18/07/09. Deep gold with a slight, off-white head. Sweetish, fruity malt aroma with some orange blossoms. Flavour was also sweet, with some earthy yeastiness and a decent bitter finish. Good stuff.

Pale amber with greenish shine, hazy; good medium-sized head, yellowish. ??? What is it with this brace of Britbeers I got? This smells pure horseblanket! BBD is about 5 months past, true. Shortlived, however, turning woody and especially grassy. Bitter taste, very good British hops-bitter; nice & refreshing. Thereโs some little malty sweetness underneath, and a fruity flavour, turning it into a hopped banana-orange drink - but then one I like. Light MF, but refreshing, nice fresh hopbite. Pleasing beer, bit Weizen character. Iโm starting to warm to Keltek brewery, even if I dread revisiting Blue Anchor...
