Bottle from Wine & Cheese in Clayton, MO. Pours hazy amber with a transient beige head. Aroma seems quite citric. There’s an underlying sweetness. Med body at least. It starts really citrus hoppy, then develops a mildly piny mixed with malt, maybe some vanilla, and it finishes florally citrus, and pretty bitter. Not astringent, and not quit dry, it is just hoppy!

Purchased at Schlafly Taproom in St Louis, MO; enjoyed with a good friend on my 30th birthday while watching the Home Run Derby. Appearance a somewhat cloudy lightish amber with very thin white head. Aroma equal parts hops and malts, really haven’t smelled an ale that was so well balanced, impressive. Taste is somewhat explosive, equal parts malts and hops with the added smoothness of bourbon and some dark fruit / plum notes. Carbonation level is in a good place, a great well balanced, aged ale. Well done.

At SAVOR. Poured a dark amber color. Aroma was lemon peel, citrus, oak notes. Bourbon characters, citra hops, citrus notes, lemon, lemon peel. Woah. Interesting brew, better and better as the brew warmed.

Draught at the Big Hunt. Missed Tom by one day, sorry Tom. Hazy variegated golden color. Aroma of Good-n-Plenty candy. Taste is a very odd but interesting slightly sour slightly bitter citrus, or maybe a bubblegum sandwich on rye bread. Unique.

From a 750ml from Pick’s Liquors poured into a shaker. Frothy head with good lacing. It’s a hazy dark amber. The aroma is of citrus hops and fermented fruit. Taste is lightly bitter and medium sweet, very malty and fruity. You can taste the oak but can’t taste the 9%abv. Medium bodied with lively carbonation. A long sweet finish. Overall this beer is an A+. At a $10.99 price point this beer is worth every penny and I will definitely be buying it again.
