I enjoy my imperial stouts, all the right ingredients in this one. The ABGB snifter is being utilized, I lift the cap and pour. A brown as dark as you can get before reaching black with a ring of tawny brown bubbles. A rich smell, dark chocolate fudge, coconut and pecans. A drink finally and it is mighty fine. All the ingredients from German chocolate cake, heavy with the chocolate of course, coconut, dark cherries, pecans, liqueur, vanilla and some booziness. Prairie tends to be proud of their products price wise, this one justifies it.

Bottle. Pours opaque black, small tan head, decent lacing. Aroma is bourbon, cocoa, vanilla, toasted coconut. Flavor is quite sweet, medium bitter, integrated adjuncts, nice. Full body. Bit of heat.

12 oz bottle, pours jet black with a small brown head. Aroma is loaded with heavy bourbon upfront, followed by intense vanilla beans and subdued coconut. Flavour has truckloads of bourbon barrels upfront and dominating, followed by loads of vanilla beans, but nary a trace of coconut. That's a lot of bourbon, but somehow it's not too much. Plenty of alcohol but not distastefully. Very thick and silky palate. So much better than the base beer.

Bottled 355ml. -at Goblet Zagreb. Pitch black coloured, minimal brownish head, coconut and vanilla in the nose. Roasted malt, chocolate, coconut, vanilla nad alcohol with some sweet toasted coconut notes. Not bad at all but a bit too sweet.
