Medium coarseish offwhite head. Clear yellow body. Light strawy caramelly dusty aroma with papery perfumy notes. Dry-sweet dusty strawy taste with resiny spicy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish herbal resiny aftertaste with strawy papery notes. Traces of fruit, too. Nice, drinkable, a bit odd. Certainly tastes like a darker beer. (0.5l bottle, from House of Trembling Madness, York.)

Cask at the Fulflood Arms, Winchester. Pale amber with a thin white head, that laces the glass nicely; sweet and grainy aroma; soft and soapy in the mouth, with some fruitiness, and a sweet and grainy body; then a dry and bready finish.

Cask, hand pulled half pint in perfect shape at the excellent Duck and Drake pub. Crystal clear golden body. White head with some retention. Modest malt-fruity smell. Bread-like malts and lemony hops in the flavour character. Fresh and dry malt bitter endnotes. A bit thin bodied (Leeds, 12.07.2012).

Hand pulled cask at the Pembury Tavern on 21st July 2010 during their summer festival. Pale gold with a tiny white head and limited lacing. Lemony citrus hop with slightly herby kick but then a sharp, rather harsh note intrudes before a finish that is basically citric.
