Sample courtesy of Jacob. Black pour with a small mocha head. Soft roasty malts nose with very rich dark chocolate, light aromatic coffee, vanilla, bourbon, raisins, prunes & light spicy rum. Sweet, bitter & heavy malty taste. Soft, round, viscous, velvety, thick & tiny boozy mouth. Crazy rich & very tasty.

500 ml bottle at home. Black color with nice beige brown head. Roasted malty aroma, cocoa, coffee, chocolate, vanilla, some spicy notes, dark red fruits, light wood and alcohol. Sweet and bitter taste like aroma. Almost full silky oily body with soft carbonation.

50cl bottle pours a murky, oily black with a faint ring of oily, beige head. Nose has coffee and chocolate and booze, caramel pecans too. Flavor is much better, coffee, nuts, chocolate, caramel. Finishes crazy smooth.

Black beer. Small, light brown head. Tons of fudge in the aroma. Pretty good hit of coffee. Vanilla is definitely there but a bit behind those other flavors. Medium bourbon tone. Quite sweet. Lots of chocolate. Fairly full, creamy feel. Not overwhelmingly thick but solid.

Poured from a bottle. Aroma is very chocolate forward with some medium light coffee notes. Faint vanilla and bourbon notes. Hints of roast. More vanilla and bourbon as it warms. Pours black with a faint, small dark mocha film that quickly disappears. No lacing and moderately long legs. Flavor is fairly sweet with a lot of chocolate and vanilla. Lighter coffee notes with some light bourbon notes. Hints of oak. Medium bitterness and a touch of roast. Tastes like drinking a dessert. So much chocolate and vanilla. Light alcohol spice. Mouthfeel is full bodied with medium low carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth. Overall, a decent beer but it’s way too sweet for me. Lots of vanilla in the flavor. A bit more coffee in the flavor would help I think. Gets a bit better as it warms.

Bottle thanks to Shad. Pours a dark brown with small beige head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is strong roast, cocoa, bourbon, wood. Thick mouth, chewy, roast, chocolate, light dryness, very nice.
