Shake it, shake it, shake it baby. Not literally or else you’ll spill it. Velvety and with a bit of spice, we promise it won’t hurt twice.

Bottle. Dark brown body with a massive tan head that gradually fades. Faint lacing. Aroma of filter coffee and stainless steel. Flavour of dark chocolate and rust. Thin body with a watery texture. Very fizzy. Too thin, too carbonated and lacking depth.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 16B). Bottle 33 cl - Batch LO00088 (BBF 05/17). AROMA: medium roasted malt aroma with black coffee notes, in balance with a nutty presence. APPEARANCE: very dark brown color and opaque. slight ruby highlights. medium-low light brown head with medium-low retention. TASTE: initial medium nutty flavor, followed by a coffee and slightly sweet malty background. medium bitterness with a burnt and dry finish. PALATE: medium body with low carbonation. slight dark grains astringency. OVERALL: an oatmeal stout that needs some fine tuning on the roasted malts.
