Cask handpull at Cask Pub & Kitchrn Pimlico. Deepamber colour with thin beige head. Hop aroma leaps out of the glass. Yes its sweet enough to be a double ipa. Yes too sweet. Love the hop hot finish. Bit earthy. But too sweet and alcohol is too hot. Bit tough too drink

Cask at CPK. Pours a clearish gold with a soft head. Rich hop nose, lots of grass and pine, some heavy malts. Very sweet flavor, some raw sugar, leafy bitters, more earth, resins and grass, bit of ripe citrus. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Light warmth in finish, resinous earth and pine. Good beer.

On tap at The White Horse, Parsons Green, London. An amber coloured pour with virtually no head to speak of. Not much in the way of aroma but hops were detected. Tastes quite bitter, hoppy, fruity. Rather unbalanced and could do with refining. Good to see a UK brewery willing to experiment though and I quite like the thinking behind this brewery from Cumbria.

On tap at the Rake. Very slight haze on this amber beer, no head at all and neither any carbonation. Zilch! Semi soft and semi dry palate. Even malt with bitterish orange and some dried fruit. A little spice and a trace of banana. Finishes dry with a spicy bitter aftertaste. Warming afterglow. It’s okay but a bit too obviously a ’muscle beer’. Could do with a little refinement but love that this new brewer is out there brewing big beers loud and proud!

Cask gravity at Dudley Winter Beer Festival. Pours a hazy ruby with no head. Aroma was orangey piney hops and alcohol. Taste was quite a letdown, nothing to start and some piney hops on the finish. Disapointed.
