The brewer combines an intense taste profile with great tasting flexibility. The use of toasted spelt malts and the woody touches give it intense flavors of coffee, roasted with a touch of acidity. The brewer worked on the full-bodied flavors of the malts, the aromas and the bitterness of the three hops to obtain a balanced product: a stout with strong and intense flavors and well balanced, without any heaviness.

0.33 l bottle, best before July 2022, from an IP trade with fonefan, thanks a lot Jan! Black with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Sweetish-malty, gently roasty, quite fruity aroma of cocoa, caramel, coffee, red wine and some cherry. Quite sweet, malty, fairly roasty, slightly fruity taste of cocoa, coffee, caramel, toasted hazelnut and some red wine, followed by a medium long, gently roasty-bitter, slightly earthy and a bit vinous finish. Medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Nice Belgian Stout, nicely vinous and saturating.

Classic standard Belgian Russian imperial stout. The aromas are mainly molasses with plenty of dark ripe fruit such as raisins, prunes, figs and dates. Flavors are somewhat similar to nose, more bitter than usual, slightly on the dry side with just hints of fruit. Good carbonation with a chalky body. Sipping for sure.
