50cl bottle. Leggy deep brown, no head. Nose has huge malt and caramel and cream soda and mint and vanilla. Flavors follow. Finishes sweet and boozy. A bit overdone. 6 6.5 6 6 6

500 ml bottle from Magnify delivery, 7/12/22. Pour a fully murky, almost sludgy looking brown color with a rather fizzy, light brown head that dissipates to nothing fairly quickly. Kind of an uglier beer. Aroma is super rich and sweet, with pecans, vanilla, caramel, and toffee. There's a bit of bourbon and wood, but they are fairly subtle components. Almost sugary sweet, with a dessert-like flavor profile. The alcohol is very well hidden, as it really tastes like drinking a dessert. I like the pecan addition to a barley wine, but this barely wine is just so sweet. I needed something to balance it.
