Cask @ Victorian Craft Beer Café, Halifax. Dark amber-brown, but certainly more of the latter. Has a sugary-fruity aroma and taste. Has a low sourness and is more sweetened in taste than anything else.

Bottle, gift from Andrew. Hazy chestnut brown with a thick beige head. Lively carbonation. Nice lacing. Aroma of blood orange, steel and sticky mango. Flavour of toffee apple, orange zest, grapes and caramel. Medium body with a spritzy mouthfeel. Very fizzy. Not what I was expecting but I really enjoyed this raw, hoppy Saison.

500ml bottle from Fire & Ice, Narberth. Pours hazy amber with small off-white head. Nice rosy, fruity saison with a light peppery finish. A decent different take on the style.

Pint from the Raven, Bath, and very nice it was too. Deep hazy chestnut brown colour with a thin white head. Aroma has wheat and a rich yeasty sweetness, with a touch of spice. Taste is bittersweet.

On cask at the Haymarket. Appearance - hazy brown with an orange or red chink. Nice head. Nose - toffee and minerality running underneath. Taste - same again. I guess the saison yeast is causing the mineral notes. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy yet tangy mineral texture and a long dry mineral finish. Overall - interesting and quite good.
