Super clear pink and light ruby coloured body with a pink grape juice coloured body and a very thick, four to five centimetre tall pink coloured head with a large, soapy top that fades quickly. Aroma of light squash, vanilla, cranberries, subdued blueberries, a dash of wheat and softer malts with a lot of dry and herbal notes, similar to blackcurrants. Light-bodied; Sharp tart berry and fruit flavours dominate with a lot of herbal and grassy finishes and almost no malt here, just the soft berries and soured fruits without much support from anything else. Aftertaste shows the dry, tart, berry and fruit note that shows some small hints of vanilla and even durian or bananas with a kick of grain and herbs near the end that shows a bit of coriander seed and some flowers like hibiscus and violet. Overall, a pretty dry, tart, funky and grassy beer that has almost no malts or support, that would probably be nice as a finish after a Thanksgiving (or any big) meal where any additional bloat isn’t necessary. Nice to sample and a good, funky option that I wasn’t really expecting, but turned out nice and complex. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Bread & Honey in New York (56th @ 8th Ave), New York on 04-December-2021 for US$5,29 sampled on the train from New York back to Washington on 05-December-2021.

Can at Beer Culture, 12/5/19. Reddish-orange color, minimal head. Cranberry and a little dough. Decent feel. Cranberries, but not in a tart way like you might expect. Odd, but an interesting concept. I enjoyed the effort. 7/4/7/3/15
