Ever so slightly hazy light golden coloured body with a thin, single centimetre tall off-white head that fades fast and barely covers the mostly clear (only ten per cent opaque) body. Aroma of grass, hay, grapefruit peel and a dash of bread, with some yeast as well, but no real strong hop smells at all. Light-bodied; Very crisp and super funky (especially for the style) smoked grain and malt flavour dominates at first and is easily the most pungent taste, with a kick of dry and grassy hop bitterness then shows without any sweetness at all, and no real depth or complexity. Aftertaste is really only about the funky smoked grain and a bit of grassy/hay dryness with no fruits, no sweetness, no hop bitterness or alpha acids, no real haziness and to be honest - no semblance of an IPA at all, let alone a New England IPA! Overall, funky and completely NOT expected (like seemingly the wrong label was slapped on the front of this can!), and while not quite a BAD beer, not an IPA at all. Wierd and nice enough to try from South Carolina, but for it's funkiness and non-IPA qualities, this one isn't recommended, of course. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Whole Foods in Charleston (West Ashley), South Carolina on 28-December-2021 for US$3,99, canned on 07-December-2021 and sampled just over a month later at my house here in Washington on 20-January-2022.

From a pint can. Pours a cloudy gold with a thinnish off white head. Aromas of hay and tropical fruit. Flavors are moderately bitter citrus and pine.

16 oz can from Joe Canal's, 11/17/19. Palindromic Rating #8338! Fully hazed golden-yellowish. Juicy aroma, mango, peach, some pineapple. Lemon and grass too. Fairly sweet. Slightly sticky. Solid, but lacking drinkability considering the ABV. Still, a nice brew. 8/4/7/3/15
