Cappuccino-colored, aromas of cocoa powder and bitter chocolate which are enhanced by the fruitiness of marrons glacés. Initially almost "sweet" on the tip of the tongue, it fills the entire palatal arch very well with a finish of good persistence that closes on clear notes of distillate. Autumn in the ingredients, but not seasonal. It has the rigorous and prolonged dryness of a great distillate.

bottiglia 33 cl, schiuma cappuccino medi grana evanescente, color marrone, al naso lieviti belgi spezie zucchero di canna banana castagna, in bocca spezie zucchero bruciato frutta secca note tostate, corpo leggero, alcool abbastanza evidente, carbonazione leggera, farinosa, amaro accentuato lungo nel finale. Poco armonica, manca di corpo e sbilanciata troppo sull’amaro. c. Beer-shop.it . 28.11.20

Bottle from Pretesto, Bologna.Hazy brown with a thin, tan head. Aroma of raisin, fig, dark honey, red apple, pear, clove, peanuts, green tea, liqueur. Taste has sweet raisin, fig & pear, caramelly body, bitter herbs & some spices (coriander?), bit toasty. Phenolic, herbal hoppy finish, more dried fruit & spices, some warming liqueur alcohol. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. It does have that a Belgian feel but there's something distinct about it.

Dark brown with about one finger of off-white head. Good enough persistence and some lacing. Average intensity in the aroma. Caramel and slight toasted malts, dark fruits plus pear, brown sugar and slight spiciness. Taste is caramel and toffee malts, strong brown sugar, slight earthiness, pear and slight banana, again a hint of spiciness. Medium to high sweet and medium to low bitter, overall obviously sweet but not overly so. Medium to dense body with average carbonation, overall a quite soft sugary mouthfeel. Overall well made and enjoyable, though not impressive and maybe a bit too standard.

Bottle at BV. First beer I’ve had from this brewer. Unfiltered cherry brown body. Steady beige head. A lot of thick caramel tones for the style, drak red fruit as well. Chewy, earthy brown chocolate caramel. Doesn’t really have the body or effervescence I want from the style, but the flavors are nice. Some chestnut. Pretty good.
