Cappuccino-colored, aromas of cocoa powder and bitter chocolate which are enhanced by the fruitiness of marrons glacés. Initially almost "sweet" on the tip of the tongue, it fills the entire palatal arch very well with a finish of good persistence that closes on clear notes of distillate. Autumn in the ingredients, but not seasonal. It has the rigorous and prolonged dryness of a great distillate.

15/IX/14 - 33cl bottle @ home - BB: 31/I/15 (2014-1010) Thanks to Björn for sharing the bottle!

Little cloudy brown beer, small irregular beige head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: lots of chocolate, mocha, caramel, dried fruits, bit yeasty, little dusty, bit chemical. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: chocolaty start, caramel, raisins, soft sourness, bit aged, not too sweet. Aftertaste: dark chocolate, some dried fruits, caramel. Very nice impression of a Belgian Dubbel!

Bottle from Birratrovo, Como; batch 015 13, bb 31.01.15
Very dark brown color with medium sized head. Mild aroma of caramel with light biscuity touch. Soft and round mouthfeel; good caramel flavor, with traces of dark caramel, traces of liquorice, very light fruitiness from the gentle yeast; correct bitterness; ends with a light residual sweetness and a touch of firewood. Balanced but it could have a better malt character.
Nice.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dagan’s place. Thanks idonis. Brown color with a frothy head. Aroma of chocolate, caramel, a bit of roasted malt, a bit of licorice, light sherry notes, cherries and plums. Sweetish flavor of malt, chocolate, caramel notes, nuts and dark fruits. Finishes slightly bitter with some alcohol. Over-carbonated. So-so.

Bottled. A hazy red-brown beer with a huge but fast collapsing brown head - over carbonated. The aroma has notes of caramel, malt, and dried fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes of chocolate, malt, dried fruits, and caramel, leading to a dry finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.
