“Grand Cru” has been used by Belgian brewers for centuries to denote a more elaborate version of their original product. We continue this tradition with Celis Grand Cru, a heartier version of Celis White. Made with select hops, Celis Grand Cru is brewed with the bright flavors of lemon peel and mellow coriander, which give a robust finish to the classic wheat beer. Perfect for the cool fall and winter months, or when you want a beer slightly bolder in flavor—try pairing it with roasted meat or shellfish dishes.

Bottled. A light yellow beer with a thin lazing white head. The aroma has notes of lemon, coriander, and peaches. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, alcohol, coriander, and lemons, leading to a dry alcoholic finish.

Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of blutt59. Pours a clear pale yellow with a tiny white head. Lots of coriander in the nose, a little phenols in the nose. Medium body, sweet fruity with your standard Belgian spice blend. Astringent finish. 220611

12 oz bottle. Pours pale golden with a thin white head. Aroma is overwhelmingly yeasty cloves with a bit of sweetness. Flavor is yeasty clove and green apple with biscuit. A bit thin. An alright attempt at a Belgian, but lacking in complexity.

Aroma: Has an aroma of light spice and light fruits
Appearance: Clear, light yellow color with a white head, light lace
Flavor: Taste is light, somewhat sweet, spice and fruit
Palate: Light-medium body with a decent mouthfeel
Overall Impression: This beer was alright, nothing too special, but this is some decent stuff. I enjoyed it, and I'd drink it again, but I wouldn't rush out for it.
