2016 catch up - Bottle at home - Nice. A heavier beer than I expected with good malt and a woody flavour. Good colour and good mouth feel. I liked it.

Naparbier ZZ + Amber 5.5% Apparently this is 185 calories... And the image on the label seems to be the skull of a guy from ZZ Top. A pretty Amber-red with a filmy beige head. Great aroma of citrus and pin with a balancing sweet malt backbone. Medium bodied with a zesty carbonation. Crisp clean piney hops, biscuity malts and a decent bite. Really nice, I like this better than the Napar Pale Ale.

330ml bottle from Ales By Mail. Cloudy amber colour with a creamy one-finger off-white head. Aroma of sweet malt, hops, caramel, toffee, orange, and a strange fruity floral scent, not sure what it actually is. Taste is fruity, citrus, sweet malt, hops, caramel, toffee, floral. Floral hoppy finish. Moderate carbonation, medium body, oily texture. Decent.

Bottle from Ales by Mail. Light amber, hazy with a creamy off-white head. White grape and resin on the scent with some orchard fruit. Taste starts sweet but turns quickly into an intense and concentrated bitterness. Some juicy sweetness on the lips at the finish, but bitterness hangs at the back of the throat. Complex and tasty.
