The Duck-Rabbit Amber Ale is a medium bodied beer with a lovely tawny copper/bronze color. The lightest of all our dark ales, this is a great introduction to full flavored beers. This brew emphasizes malt complexity with layered caramel malt flavors. We put a lot of effort into getting The Duck-Rabbit Amber Ale just right and we’re extremely proud of the result. Enjoy!

Bottle. Nice copper color with a medium head. Aroma was lightly roasted grains with just a tad of candy corn. Taste was a tad weak but with caramel, roasted grains and toast.

Pours a reddish-amber with a thick creme head. Aroma of sweet malt, and something bizarrely reminiscent of grape kool-aid. Taste has grainy malt, somewhat woody, light caramel notes on the malt. Palate has a really interesting nutty malt note that permeates the nasal cavity and lingers for an exceptionally long period. Interesting.

Dark orange, resin hops, long mildly bitter finish. Decent but not memorable.

A: Clear copper with a half finger of beige foam. Busy carbonation. Short retention with good lacing. S: English hops and toffee. Smells delicious! T: Toasted malts with a mild but tasty hop bite coming in. Much like the smell. Not very complex but I think it’s very tasty indeed. M: On the lighter side of medium body. Still busily bubbling but I like the tingle. Medium length chewy finish. O: A pretty tasty refreshing amber overall and easily available in my area at very good $9/6 prices. Worth buying again.

Light citrus and some rusty aroma here. Finishes a little wooden, light bitterness. Pours reddish amber with some beige initial foam. OK for style. Bottle.

Bottle @ home, picked up in Charlotte. Thanks to jcnielsen for shipping to me. Pours a dark rust orange appearance with a brown head that dissipates kind of quickly. Caramel and apple sauce in the nose. Somewhat spicy. Twangy, tart pear/apple fruity flavor. Some toast and caramel. Not all that great. Heavy carbonation.
