On draft at Craft. Very dark amber colour with a small slightly frothy head. Aroma is full-on smokiness. Made me think of smoked cheese or sausage as well as the obligatory bacon. Taste much the same. Slight bitterness sneaks past the smoke occasionally, but pretty much all about smoke. Nice, but one in a sitting is probably enough.

On tap@schouskjelleren 14.10. 11. Dark amber body with a nice, creamy off-white head. Aroma is mild smoke, caramel malt with a hint of roasted pork and fruit. Flavor has more smoke than expected from aroma, but nothing extreme, caramel malt, fruity hops and rather strong bitterness. Fine body and a pleasant roasted malt aftertaste. A nice one.

Fra kran på Schouskjelleren, Oslo 18 Okt 11. Mørk amber. Pent luftig skum som varer. Skummet legger seg i nivåmerker på glasset. God aroma av mørk frukt. Klart røykpreg. Lite annet. Antakeligvis slik det var i Dresden i 1945. Huff. Litt mye kullsyre.

250ml on tap at Bishop Arms in Copenhagen. Deep and clear dark amber body, shiny naked surface, no lace. Aroma of lightly smoked malts. Wood and smoke to the taste buds with chocolate malts behind. Short ending. Rather anonymous for the style. Overall an ok beer with a stupid, morbid name (02.11.2011).
