Altbier is a brew rooted in history and beautiful in its simplicity. For our take on the style, we pushed a spicy and herbaceous noble hop profile to balance out the toffee, caramel and brown sugar aromatics. A pinch of rye adds a dry and earthy finish for a light-bodied pour.

12 ounce can from the brewery by mailorder, 11/18/21. Clear dark red amber, large frothy tan head, good retention. Aroma of grain, caramel, leaves. Taste is toast, grain, dark fruit, earthy hop. Crisp, bit thin, well balanced, lingering bitterness. Solid.
