We have set out to wilfully maim and cripple the palates of the most extreme hop head. This act of wanton destruction is in the true spirit of what festive brews are about, to create something unique and fun. It is our intention to create a violent and needless disturbance in your olfactory senses. The riotous confusion, from the unnatural quantity of dry hopping, will leave your palate satisfyingly violated after having just one taste. Only the brave can be assured to tame this hop insanity.

Bottled:
Colour is clear amber. The head is thick. Fruity pine, lychee and pineaple aroma. Flavour is hoppy and bitter with notes of resiny pine. Imho this is an IPA.

Bottle from Ledgers. Pours light amber with a foamy 3 finger beige head. Aroma is weird - like super hoppy with shitake mushrooms. Med body/mild carb. Gee - this is very complicated. Grassy; light stone fruity; citrusy; extremely floral; light caramel; a bit earthy. My mouth keeps salivating and I have to keep working that out. It seems astringent in effect. WTF! Based on impact this is damn good beer.

From a 500ml bottle on 20/11/2010. Has a pronounced and powerful fruit, floral and pine hop aroma, not dissimilar to some of hope monster IPAs from the US. The hops are a touch more subdued in the flavour, though there’s still plenty to be enjoyed. This has a lovely balance of caramel and citrus fruit sweetness and slightly spicy bitterness, which lingers for ages. Don’t know why this is tagged as an American strong ale on here, as it’s more of an IPA. An excellent beer.

Pours orange/amber with a creamy lasting head leaving lots of lacing.Nose shows lots of tropical fruit, grapefruit, orange blossom. I’m guessing there’s a fair bit of Nelson Sauvin in this from the passion-fruit as well. Malt is certainly not forgotten , lots of sweet clean crystal. Very nice! The malt is stronger as a flavour with some toasty notes joining the sweet caramel. Similar hop character as in the aroma, but with more grapefruit and pine. Finishes quite sweet but with a matching bold bitterness.Creamy carbonation, not too high, slick syrupy mouthfeel, awesome!

Bottle, 13C. Amber, light beige head. Quite a lot of remaining carbonation. Mild caramel and big hop aroma. There’s grapefruit, kumquat, pine and earth. Taste has toffee, passionfruit and rambutan sweetness under volatile citrus and pine with surprisingly moderate bitterness. Creamy mouthfeel with a little sticky/ chewy sweetness. Lingering bitter finish with some white pepper and ginger. Quite what makes this an ASA rather than an IPA I have no idea, but just the same it’s the fine platform of malt flavours that allows the considerable hop character to shine whilst remaining balanced and drinkable. Excellent.

Bottled. An unclear amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma hast notes of hops, grass, over ripe fruits, and citrus. The flavor is sweet with notes of over ripe fruits, grass, and hops, leading to a dry and bitter finish.
