From tap at Borefts 2017. Aroma is vinous with big oaky notes, dark grapes, red wine, grappa, and soft vinegar. Flavour is sourish and tart with some sweetness. Body is medium. Nice blend, works good!

Bottled. Ruby colour with a small white head. Aroma is berries, some earth cellar and tart wood with mild wine like elements. Flavour is tart wood, some floral, mild strawberry and some earthy tones as well. A bit acidic and some slight tannin like tartish dry elements.

500ml bottle. Clear, dark ruby colour with average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing beige head. Mild, woody, tangy, fruity aroma, hints of oak, cherry, plum, vinegar, a weak touch of mustard seed, light vinous fruitiness with a touch of blue grapes and blue berries as well, whiffs of balsamico, sherry. Taste is tart, fruity, mildly woody, tangy, tannic, vinous fruity, hints of cherry, morello, plum, blueberry, blue grapes, a touch of oak, vinegar, mustard seed, balsamico, sherry. Oily texture, smooth, super soft and silky palate, very fine, soft, mildly prickly carbonation. Rich and complex, thereby mild and well balanced, almost a bit cautious, excellent mouthfeel - great!

Keg at Borefts Day 2 23/09/2017. A mostly clear reddy bronw onion skin coloured pour. Aroma is weird funk, onion, lacto plum, sherry wood, leather. Flavour is composed of sweet, sticky, woody, bark, leather, cherry, ho alcohol. Palate is semi sweet, moderate carbonation, chewy, ok.

Dark brown with thin head. Aroma is dry woody and a bit vinous. Nice mix of funk sour and bitter with woody notes and red fruit sharpness. Super dry finish.

Bottle, gift from Pam. Clear amber body with an off-white head. Steady carbonation. Patchy lacing. Aroma of red wine, cherries and malt vinegar. Flavour of red wine and lemon. Thin body with a watery texture. Soft fizz. Very sour with a nice red wine edge but it’s just not a beer I could enjoy more than a few sips Of unfortunately. It’s clearly a well regarded beer but the beer and the beer style is just not to my taste.

500 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 8%. Very dark brown colour, small beige head. Aroma of wild yeast, farmhouse, oak and red wine vinegar. Medium sour flavour, a little vinous sweetness first, dry and bitter finish.
